Meet Coach Marissa Haase

Marissa is a CrossFit L1 coach who grew up in Lincoln, NH and now lives in Sugar Hill. When Marissa isn’t coaching CrossFit, she’s an alpine ski racing coach. Having gone to Plymouth State University for Sport Performance, this is a natural fit for her. While in school she played rugby and soccer, her soccer coach owned a CrossFit gym so a lot of their preseason workouts were CrossFit oriented.

After her first class, she couldn’t wait for the next one. Her favorite thing about it is the mental and physical challenges. Outside of CrossFit, Marissa enjoys skiing, hiking, running and dogs. In the box, you can find her working out at 5:45 am enjoying cardio and weights to upbeat and fast paced music. Before workouts and after workouts, you will finding her drinking coffee and maybe eating a banana.

If you’re considering CrossFit, she would tell you it’s fun! The biggest impact CrossFit has had on her is the new friends that she’s made. Marissa got her L1 because she thought it would be a great way to learn more about CrossFit and she’s working towards getting her Olympic Lifting certification. The favorite part about coaching is seeing athletes succeed and the biggest challenge is finding the right music.

The one piece of advice she wants to leave you with is stretch.
